I have disabled this feature for a long time. Now the laptop is charged up to 100% I don't know why it suddenly lost 4% of the charge, I did not play the game at that moment, just browsing.
The charge of acer nitro 5 dropped sharply from 100% to 96%.

Hello. I just sat with my acer nitro 5, it was 100% charged. But then the charge dipped sharply to 96%. What was it? Also my laptop hasn't run out of power lately and always had a 100% charge. At the moment it is charged up to 98%. The charging indicator is orange now.

It could be the Windows maintenance service which recycle charge, it happened to me as well.

No, I don't know the name of the service but the drop was very similar to yours, mainly it happens when I switch off the laptop, so I guess it's one of the background service does some sort of maintenance of battery.

Okay, I don't know what could have caused this for me, but my laptop charged up to 100% and runs on battery with no problems. Perhaps Windows itself caused it. Maybe my battery has been recharged, it has not been discharged lately and the laptop was working only from the mains.

I don't think it's a huge problem, it's better to let Windows perform, anyway, run HWmonitor and keep an eye on battery wear level.

Hi again. I created a battery report, and there is no information about the drop in charge, 100% is displayed everywhere, I think it was a Windows glitch.

Hi,
Open Acer Quick Access app, turn off "Power-off USB charging" with the slider switch and see whether it resolves the issue.
