TMP214-53-58GN empty connectors/pads . Does anyone know what the ones circled in red are for?
I’ve been looking at pictures of the inside of the TMP214-53 and I see a lot of empty connectors/pads. I’m curious as to what those spaces are intended for. Does anyone know what the ones circled in red are for? Also is there anything interesting on the back of the board? (couldn’t find any pictures)

Typically Acer designs the motherboard to work in several different, yet similar, models. They populate the board as needed to match the needs of each model, but don't tell us which is which. The picture you show is for the P214-53 and as you can see the GPU and VRAM aren't populated on those model, they are on the P214-53G models. The unpopulated connector just above the SATA connector is for models that have the LTE option. One of the connectors at upper right on your image is for an options IR camera, used for Windows Hello authentication. The rest I don't have much of any idea...
Oh, and typically warranty isn't voided for that type of upgrade, but in some locales it is. Always check with Acer support before opening it the first time.

Also does installing the provided HDD kit or upgrading the RAM, Wi-Fi, or SSD void the warranty?

Thanks! I just found a manual for the P214-54, which has the next generation of this board, that lists some of them.
