What model Nitro 5 is your laptop, it should be like AN515-xx-xxxx and what region are you from, as allot of the Asian countries Acer puts warranty void stickers on laptop lids, and internally on ram and SSDs, so that users can't take their laptops to anyone and cause damage as Acer wants only a =n approved Acer tech to change and upgrade these components.

Just as an example, my AN515-56-789V Nitro 5 (i7-11370H - GeForce® RTX™ 3050 4GB - 8GB RAM) and I didn't have stickers and I upgraded the ram and SSD drive, to ram of 32GB total at 2x 16GB DDR4-3200MHz CL22 and upgraded the boot drive to a new 1TB WD SN750 M.2 PCIe 3 x4 and used the oem boot drive the 512GB WD SN530 PCIe 3 x4 as a slave/secondary drive in this laptops M.2 #2 slot and it works perfectly.

All these new Nitro 5 laptops have 2x M.2 PCIe 3 x4 are running DDR4-3200MHz and PCIe 3 x4 (the Predators have 2x M.2 PCIe 4 x4) and with the ram their can have a total of 64GB max into their 2x slots (2x 32GB DDR4) and the best SSD M.2 drive upgrades are to PCIe 3 x4 WD SN750 or Samsung 980 or 970 EVO NVMe drives as they are the best and quickest M.2 drives.

You can usually self-upgrade if you don't physically break anything or tear any tamper tape seals that might be covering screw heads or cover edges.

Does your machine have a acer logo sticker behind that covers the middle screw ?

If you don't have , you're good to go.

If you wants to upgrade SSD you have to open back panel by removing the 11 screws, since the sticker is covering the 1 middle screw, tearing it will voids warranty.

You can usually self-upgrade if you don't physically break anything or tear any tamper tape seals that might be covering screw heads or cover edges. So if you have to tear a tamper seal to remove the screw, you will indeed void the warranty. You have to decide if you want to take the chance that your machine won't need any repairs that would normallly be covered during the warranty period.

  • In other regions, devices are sold without this warranty label. This is a relief for users. Now, since your device has a warranty stamp on it, I don't advise disassembling the laptop. Now, if you intend to disassemble the laptop:
