Predator G3 710 takes M.2 NVME SSD or will it only take m.2 SATA?

I want to use a M.2 NVME 1tb SSD in my Predator G3 710 (i7 7700 Motherboard: (KBL) (U3E1) BIOS: R02)- can I instal a M.2 NVME SSD or will it only take m.2 SATA.

Please explain in laymans terms thanks.

    These are the Acer suggested M.2 SSD type drives that your G3-710 desktop can function with, NVMe M.2 drives are not compatible (they were release in 2017) and this desktop is a late 2015-16 and this desktops came with SATA-3 type M.2 mobo slot that has a B&M end key type M.2 drive at 6GB/s max.

    Thanks for that, does it also mean that I can’t upgrade to 1tb?

    No, you can go as big as you want, you just have to use a SATA.

    Is it possible to use an adapter card (PCIE) to use a nvme m.2 ssd in 1 of the pcie slots?

    Not really, on almost all of these the x16 slot is taken up by the GPU and the x1 slot isn't any faster than a SATA drive.
