I just bought an Aspire 3 Laptop 2 days ago and I noticed today its making a noise like a fan. I am still able to use it and was wondering why its making that noise and if I should return it to the store. I owned another Acer Laptop that is 7 yrs old and it was very quiet no noise at all.

The Aspire 3 and 4 and 7 and G which has a dedicated GPU have all a thermostatically controlled cooling 1x fan or 2x fans that and when the laptop heats up the fan(s) increase their speeds, I've got a new Aspire A515-57-56UV and it does the same with its 1x fan as this is perfectly normal. Unless the fan sounds like its hitting its casing and its got a clicking noise then there is something wrong, the sound that you are getting of a loud fan normal increase rpm noise the fan is performing normal.
