This is what Acer specifies for the PO7-640 desktop below, the best is to install CPUz and see what exact specs ram Acer installed in your desktop already. within your desktop at capacity total of 32GB at 2x 16GB type ram in DIMMs 1 and 2.

This desktop can only have a max of 64GB total at DDR5-4400MHz speed ram, any higher speed ram will either operate at 4400Mhz speed or even at a lower speed of 4000MHz like one other community member that upgraded the ram to DDR5-4800MHz ram into this desktop. This desktop online manual pages 14 and 15 details the population of the DIMMs for every capacity, the next up from 32GB is 48GB so see the table below. Acer does not specify the exact ram specs or shows in its SG any types of exact ram types. Install CPUz and look at the specs of your 2x 16GB ram specs in your desktop already and get 1 or 2x 16GB more modules of the same ram to either get 48GB or 64GB total ram.

First have a look at your existing ram speed at Task Manager >Performance >Memory as it should be at Speed: 4400Mhz if you have the DDR5-4400MHz installed. Install CPUz and look in this software's Memory and SPD sections and see the exact installed ram specs on your desktop, then try to match the fitted rams exact specs and also manufacturer (but manufacturer is not very important but try to) what is important is matching the fitted rams and in CPUz Cas# Latency (CL).

The Crucial ram above will not work at 4800MHz speed, as I've said above, DDR5-4800MHz is going to run at 4000MHz speed as the limit of this desktops ram speed is 4400Mhz with ONLY DDR5-4400MHz type ram which your 32GB installed ram should be like. Don't mix different ram speeds into this desktops DIMMs 1 to 4, as it will not run in dual mode or at this desktop top ram speed of 4400MHz.

Its a simple formula and you have all the information above, have a look at your 2x 16GB DDR5 ram specs and buy additional 2x 16GB DDR5 of the same ram to add and give you a total of 4x 16GB DDR5 in DIMMS 1 to 4, its very simple.😁

Glad to help you out as this ram specs and limits and channels can be very confusing if you don't know the basic theories behind how ram works and is grouped together to form a laptops or desktops top spec memory performance. For instance, Dual Channel Ram is what your motherboard (irrespective if you have 4x ram modules in all 4x DIMMs) works under, DC is best basic and cheapest for manufacturers to build their motherboards and CPUs for todays top editing and hard core gaming as it works better than single channel ram.

Quad Channel Ram is used on some server CPUs like the AMD Epyc lineup as well as some high-end “extreme” CPUs by Intel like the Intel Core that support quad-channel memory that your PO7-640 does not support. As you can only expect quad-channel memory support on very expensive CPUs and motherboards that are built for professionals, that is some of the basics and differences between the two.
