So as others have done I installed a Noctua CPU fan and am marvelling in the reduced CPU temps under load. However even after un-installing and re-installing Predator Sense, I can not seem to control CPU fan speeds in the custom menu - anyone suggest a way of doing it? They seem to adjust in the auto setting but I am wondering if leaving it on auto will be sufficient for gaming. Anyone had success using a different fan speed manager app ?

    1. What full model number? For example, PO3-620?
    2. What was factory installed Windows version?
    3. What's WinVer is on it now?

    PO3-640 with i7 12700f and 3070

It came with Win 11 64 bit home and it is fully up to date apart from optional insider updates

Were you ever able to do it with the stock setup?

If I am no mistaken, the rear exhaust fan and CPU fan are linked. At least this seemed to be how they worked in PO3-630.

If you want more control over your fans (incl. GPU) try free Fan Control software. It doesn't control RGB lighting, though.

Yes with the stock CPU cooler Predator Sense could fully control all 4 fans

This was not the case with my PO3-640 - I could control all 4 fans separately using Predator Sense before I upgraded the CPU cooler to a Noctua one

Noctua fan should have max speed of 3800 rpm or greater, preferrably 4700 rpm. Do any of the fans below match your original fan?

Did you ever find a solution to controlling the Noctua CPU fan? I am considering the same upgrade to my P03-640.

I have the 640, and have just done the upgrade to the Noctua NH-U9S CPU Cooler. No issues connecting it and PredatorSense allowing me to control right away.

Make sure you have the header Pin around the right way. Not sure it will work around the wrong way, but it should just work without anything else required.

Highest temp I saw it get to playing Farthest Frontier, Fortnite etc was 71 degrees… massive improvement!

ok, so i have noticed the same thing in custom mode that Hawkmoon is talking about, BUT i think its because they are so quiet, my rpms change when i move the slider but i think the Noctua fans are so quiet thats why we cannot tell, because we cannot hear the change like we can with the very loud frostblade fans, but it has to be working if the rpms change speed and from what i have learned, is that as long as the Noctua cooler fan-fans are plugged into the same place the stock cooler was, everything WILL work as it did before in predator sense on any model predator, i have a 5000 series with a Noctua NH-U12A and on my machine the stock cooler was in port 4, so thats where i put the Noctua fans using the supplied y cable, predator sense controls everything even the 2 fans i added to the top mount, its a shame the 3000 series doesnt have the same upper bracket the 5000 and 7000 series do because adding 2 fans up there for exhaust is a must for cooling better. and i can even control the argb lights on the upper 2 frostblade fans in the area control section its unreal. and i have them plugged into the dual port 3 that is listed as cooling fans. and as always i prefer mine in gaming mode 24/7 but i may replace all the frost blade fans with Noctua ones i cant even see my desktop so who cares about lights.
