Why is my Acer nitro XF243Y monitor that is more than 120hz not let me use it on ps5
When Turning on the 120hz option on my ps5 and enter a game my screen turns black with the game that I am playing on the very top of the monitor. But when I turn the option off I can see my full game like normal please help. Thank you

Its a HDMI2.0 so tis not the port, is the 1440p set to off, and the output set to 1080?

Yes if I turned of 1440p and when Turing it on 1080p it still does the same thing.

sounds like a signal issue, are you using the bundled HDMI cable? If so i'd try with a differnt 2.1 cable. It cutting out suggests that the signal is getting too degraded for the monitor to display.

So I should try a different t hdmi 2.1

the hdmi that I use came with the ps5

aye, cables themselves are not "really" versioned, but generally if they are claming to be 2.1 compliant it should be fine. though the included one with the ps5 should be fine which is odd (long as its not been damaged) , it runs at 4k60 with VRR on my tv
Whats the ps5 say in the video settings?

It shows I can run 2160p I can’t select 1440p and I am able to turn on 120hz but doesn’t let me play games with it on.
