Hi everyone đź‘‹

I am wondering if someone could help me, please?

I have a very old Acer Laptop possibly collectable now! Lol

It is an Acer Aspire 7720z Windows Vista I brought it around 2007/08 I believe and was brought brand new.

Sadly my brother died very suddenly in February 2019, he was 34 years old. I am brokenhearted the only pictures I have of him and my eldest daughter as a baby are on this Laptop.

The pin appeared to be damaged at the back - in the charging port, so a replacement charger was purchased before batteries etc and it charges well powering the Laptop up. There are no faults with the Laptop it works well.

Summer 2010 I was hit by a drunk driver who mounted the curb knocking me over, sadly it was my ex who didn't want me joining my friends on a night out. I was intent on going this being planner for ages. He turned up from knowing I was going out, I had been looking forward for such a long time. Due to the injuries sustained I since haven't been able to pick up or carry the laptop due to the sheer weight of it I forgot to mention that it's a 17-inch screen and was bigger than some TV screens too! Haha

I fell pregnant with my youngest daughter in 2013 after much complaining about the weight and memory I was brought a new laptop it was pretty much the last time I had something new and of this expense - those with kids are now nodding! I had the Acer with my eldest daughter's picture and being my first born there are thousands of pictures on there that are now all I have of my younger brother and the best bit of giving birth and seeing your baby for the first time are the pictures which help me to remember so much more than I do due to my condition and medication.

I am desperate to access these but I don't remember my password to access anything and don't know what to do. Is there anyone who can help me? I am willing to pay a fee to anyone who can access this laptop and all my photos so they can be taken off the Laptop or stored on my Google Photos. Can this be done without resetting it and losing my precious photos?

Is there anyone who can help me?

Jonti, first I would like to say is that how sorry I am to read about all the devastating tragedies that you have had, as and btw I've also lost my brother in a Motocycle accident years ago and he's greatly missed, so I do realise how devastating these tragedies are and also had a car accident like you have had that wasn't my fault and spend many months in hospital and in rehabilitation. So I'm so sorry for you and hope you are getting back to being 100% fit!

The best advise that I can give you (as I've had a recovery done also of valuable data and photos) and seeing that you have such valuable files and photos on your old laptop and HDD, I strongly suggest that you take this laptop to a professional data recovery technician in your area, which I'm sure that they will and can recover 100% of your data files and photos, as Win-Vista is obsolete anyway and unusable these days.

Find a recovery place in your area and phone them and tell them your circumstances as they may need a proof of purchase for security reasons. Also, and unfortunately, on this forum we can't give you any guides on cracking and/or overwriting guides on passwords and/or any bios related programing issues and this is due to safety and the dangers of crashing and/or bricking PCs. Good luck and hope this helps you out as its the safest and cheapest way of recovering such valuable data.

That unit appears to have a 160GB hard disk drive. I'd just remove the drive, buy a USB adapter, and mount it as an external drive on your new laptop. No password involved.
