Can you downgrade from an 11-th gen to a 10th-gen processor?

I'm using a Secure Desktop through USB and I need a 2nd monitor. I was told by tech support of the secure desktop to ask Acer support to change my 11th-gen processor to 10th-gen because the secure desktop does not support 11th-gen, this is a hardware failure. Of course, I am dumbfounded because who in their right mind would downgrade, but I need this for my work-from-home job. I need help ASAP! How can you downgrade CPUs?

Does not make sense to me either. What processor do you have and what is the model number of your device ? 11th gen CPU sounds like an Intel. I use mainly AMD CPUs but toss them around all the time.

ps seem to be several apps using the term "secure desktop". Which one do you have ? In other words "insufficient data".

It's an Intel. I use Arise. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of it but I'm new to it myself.

Looking I find the following requirements. See here.

"Intel i class or better, or AMD APU class or better, clocked at Dual-core 1.4 GHz or better

NOTE: Atom, Celeron, Pentium, and Opteron processors are not permitted"

What they are telling you makes no sense to me but the program seems very restrictive.

    See also the "PC Scan"

"A PC Scan is a check that helps determine if your computer meets the unique technical

requirements that you must meet in order to use the Arise® Platform or any client-required

software necessary to service the program you are interested in"
