RAM Upgrade, for Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-51-746B

Hi Hi,

I use: Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH317-51-746B).

I want to change the: 2x8=16GB RAM with 2x16=32GB RAM

for: "Kingston FURY Impact DDR4 32GB (Kit 2x16GB) 2666MHz 1Gx8 SODIMM CL15"

The problem is, that I am not sure if my motherboard in the laptop supports the given type and frequency of RAM (2666MHz) and max GB for one slot 8GB or 16GB RAM?

And if not, if it is still possible to use it only under auto-dimensioned to a lower frequency? (example auto-switch to max 2 133 MHz

As far as I'm aware you can upgrade up to 3200 ram.

Yes, it should accept up to two normal 16GB DDR4 sodimms 2133 Mhz or faster for a maximum of 32GB RAM. So 2666MHz should work just fine.

I suggest that you match the speed of the RAM that is in your laptop.

Do an individual Crucial System Scan for your model PH317-51-746B laptop, as the scan and suggested Crucial 32GB kit ram is their Crucial 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 SODIMM - DDR4-2400 • CL=17 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8 • PC4-19200 type ram as shown above, you can't have DDR4-3200MHz type ram as it won't work.
