Acer Helios 300, g3-571, colorful screen, then shutdown, black screen on startup. Remove dead gpu?

I was wondering, can i remove the dead gpu on this laptop? I am certain it's the GPU. The laptop is over 3.5 years old. I have this laptop and a few weeks ago the screen went funny, i saw colors. The computer froze, and shutdown. After that, i started it up and noticed sometimes it would power on, something would show on the screen, other times the screen was black. At one point, a HDD was detected and i tried to reinstall windows. After restart, no HDD was detected.

Now, the computer just has a black screen, even with HDMI connected. The fans spin for a few seconds on startup, keyboard light is on, but that's it.

I can not see the BIOS or know if i'm controlling it, can i ignore this gpu and use the igpu instead? Thanks.

It looks like the display is connected to the iGPU and the HDMI to the dGPU so if both are playing up, it could be a bigger issue with the mobo :( Its not possible to remove things like the GPU as they are soldered on
