I've just got my laptop back form repairs and I don't know what they did but my media keys ar all messed up. (all they were supposed to do is replace my broken GPU)
For example the Brightness increase button turns on flight mode and my keyboard backlight button mutes my audio.

Is there any way i can change this back? I didn't find any useful settings in the BIOS.
My laptop is an Acer Aspire A715-75G

    Check the BIOS Main tab for anything that looks useful like in the image below. If you don't find anything, press CTRL+S to see if any hidden options are displayed. If  nothing looks useful, I'd probably update the BIOS firmware to see if anything appears.

    I pressed CRTL+S like you said and 2 options did appear: SATA Mode and the Touchpad settings but ofcource those don't help me with my keyboard option.
    The option highlighted in your image is not my problem. My f1-f12 keys work normally and my keyboard uses the media keys when I hold fn (wich is the way I like it).
    I didn't update my BIOS because things can go terribly wrong there.
    I personally think that I may need a driver from acer themselves for my keyboard, but I can't find any keyboard drivers on their website (under my laptop model). The driver i have right now is one from microsoft (sais device manager).

    If it's set to "media key" instead of "function key" behavior, pressing <Fn> with any <F1> to <F12> keys controls video, audio media  playback in certain game apps etc. Is this what you want? "Function key" behavior is the normal default setting in traditional keyboards.

    Yes this is what I want. This is because I then don't have to hold fn i games that utilise the f1-f12 buttons. However when I do hold fn to increase brighness ect. the actions do not match the buttons wich is quite confusing. Would you know a way to change that?

    Yes Keyboard keys can often be remapped or reassigned in several ways that aren't readily available with default BIOS options. Google search the keywords 'remap' 'keyboard' for ways to do it both within the Windows environment and with 3rd party software.

    I prefferably don't want to install any third party program. I think it's either a driver or BIOS issue because I only returned my laptop to get my GPU repaired.

    The keyboard device drivers should be generic IBM PS2  & Microsoft HID drivers with 2006 or earlier date stamps. There are no specific ACER keyboard device drivers. The only BIOS firmware options available are those associated with the FN key behavior --- that is, either the media key option or the function key option. Key re-mapping or re-assigning is usually done by 3rd party software that modifies the generic IBM or Microsoft keyboard drivers and are broadly applicable all manufacturers, not just ACER.

    The brightness and volume controls using the FN+ARROW keys usually only work as expected when FN key behavior in BIOS Main tab is set to function key option, NOT media key option. If you are convinced that they were different before you had the GPU repaired, then you should bring the matter up with the ACER repair service.

    I too just got my broken GPU replaced and I am facing the exact same problem.

    All the keys are working fine except the following media keys which are not performing their expected functions.

    Brightness increase => Flight mode

    Brightness decrease => Sleep

    Toggle Backlight => Speaker on/off

    Speaker on/off => Dims backlight

    Reduce volume => Brighten the backlight

    If you have found a solution to this problem then please help me out.
