Please download and install the G-Sensor driver from here: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

I have tried to upgrade Windows 8 on my Iconia w500 tablet without success. When installing I get an error saying "not enough  disk space". I have tried installing Windows 8 with the 3 options that are available 1. keep files and program settings. 2. Keep files only. 3. Do nothing. Still will not install. I have tried unistalling programs (to no avail), that i really need to format my disk and reinstall Windows 7. That's a another drama!!.

I have tried changing the bios to boot from recovery disks - does not work, changing to boot from USB (with a copy of recovery disks) -  does not work.

I think the problem is that Windows 7 boot disk is a WIM file. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having similar issues with a W8 Upgrade for an Iconia W501.

Have you progressed any further and found a solution to your problems yet?

There must be a lot of Iconia users/owners that have upgraded - tell us how you have done it?

I'm still waiting for an answer to this problem.  Acer has not been forthcoming on it.  I don't even see a device for the G-Shock in the list anymore, so how can the driver help?

I use my tab as a Kindle a lot, and the only way I can get it to rotate is to go into the Control Panel Settings and do it manually.  That's nonsense.

Acer, I really want to buy a new larger tablet, but if I can't get everything to work on this one, how can I trust you to support me on future tablets?

This is my travel tablet, and I need a larger one for work.  Maybe I should look into the Dell Inspiron series with the flip screen...
