Advice for RAM upgrade Aspire 7 A715-71G-73GM
Hello everyone,
I have Acer Aspire 7 A715-71G-73GM with 8GB DDR4 2133MHz ram and I would like to upgrade to 16GB ram
Can I install one of the following ram modules:
- Crucial CT16G4SFRA32A, SO-DIMM,16GB, DDR4 3200MHz, CL22 or
- Crucial CB16GS2666, SO-DIMM, 16GB, DDR4 2666MHz, CL19
One module is 3200MHz and another is 2666MHz could that be a problem? Because I read somewhere that only modules on the 2400MHz are compatible.

Yes, you can buy a 16GB and install and upgrade with another module with same specs.

Hi,
If you have one 8GB module installed in the laptop, get another 8GB 2400MHz module and install, you need to install same size modules with same specs in both slots to get optimal performance, if you can get a 2133MHz module, that will be even better but they are hard to get, hence my suggestion of 2400MHz module, avoid any modules with XMP profiles.

I understand that two modules must have the same specs I'm just wondering if I can use a module(s) with 2666Mhz?

Yes, you can but it will downclock to match the original RAM.
