I want to change my acer predator po3-640 model case. If I have to change the motherboard, I will. There is no problem.

The PO3-640 has an Intel B660 chipset mobo and runs an Intel socket LGA-1700 12th Gen CPU, but and remember that the Acer mobo is an Acer proprietary shape mobo that is not like any standardized size and like the ATX or mATX sizes, so you can't fit this mobo into just any case, as you need to buy a new case that you can fit this mobo into, so measure the size, also you will not be able to use the front ports as they are designed to only be exposed and usable in the PO3-640 case, so be aware of that problem also.

The best and cheapest upgrade if you want to change the mobo and case of your PO3-640 is to keep the 12th Gen CPU, DDR4 ram and 500W PSU, I would suggest that you upgrade to the very reasonably priced and excellent mATX Prime B660M-A WIFI D4 that has Wi-Fi and BT that is a mATX form factor 9.6" x 9.6" (24.4 cm x 24.4 cm) and upgrade to the appropriate mATX case like the excellent Phanteks Enthoo Evolv mATX or a Corsair Crystal 280x or the Corsair iCUE 4000X whichever suits your budget.

If you want to upgrade to the newest B660 chipset mobos with DDR5 ram with your 12th Gen CPU then I would suggest either the Asus ROG Strix B660-I Gaming Wi-Fi or the MSI B660M Mortar Wi-Fi and even upgrade the PSU to a 750W type, as both of these mobos are the top performing DDR5 B660 chipset products out there. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    Proprietary PO3-640 Motherboard

    DDR4 mATX Prime B660M-A WIFI D4

    DDR5 Asus ROG Strix B660-I Gaming Wi-Fi

    MSI B660M Mortar Wi-Fi

We don't have to change the video card, do we? and as you said, I will buy one of these motherboards and a power supply labeled 750w 80 plus.

You can keep using your current GPU.

Go for a fully modular power supply, preferably at least 850w. (Personally I'd go for 1000w unit.) Why you may ask? Good PSUs last many years and can be transferred to your next build years from now. Better to buy a good one right away than buy a new one in couple years. Besides, power demand goes up year by year: what is enough now, may not be that anymore when RTX 5000 series come out. I can recommend reputable manufacturers like Seasonic or Corsair.

When choosing motherboard, keep in mind that it uses same memory (DDR4 or DDR5) that you have now. Otherwise you will have to buy RAM also.

What case you are thinking about? This is relevant, because some CPU coolers and GPUs may have difficulties fitting in.

Speaking of coolers. Unfortunately you may need to get one as well. I'm not sure that the one you have now can be used with a "normal" motherboard. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. If you want a really good and silent cooler (and it actually fits your new case) Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black is one of the best... but also the most expensive.

Depending on the case you choose, you may need to buy few case fans as well.
