I had bought a new PC few months back and tried to connect to my exiting 2 numbers of monitors (Both VGA plug). I only manage to connect to the HDMI port and not the Display Port even with my existing adaptors. I had tried to buy few adaptors BUT all not able to fix in. Please help me to identified which adaptor to buy? Many Thanks.

Kindly go through the details from the links given below

You can always connect the monitor to laptop, desktop using vga, dvi, hdmi cable and through the help of docking station if you have multiple monitors.

Please take a picture of the ports of laptop, desktop on your smartphone, take it to a nearby store and purchase the right docking station.

You can purchase a switch splitter.  It will be helpful if you have only one hdmi port on your computer and you need to use two hdmi ports.

I had tried all sorts of solutions. Even purchase Dock Station for Monitors BUT it just don't work! My old PC (also Acer) had no problems connected up my 2 monitors using the Adaptors! Therefore I think of fall back to the basis. Can anyone tell me what type of adaptor to purchase?

I understand you are using a desktop pc and you are trying to connect two external monitors to a single desktop windows computer.

I understand it is working fine perfectly with the 2 monitors using the hdmi cable. When you connect the hdmi cable between the desktop and first monitor and also when you try to connect the hdmi cable between desktop and 2nd monitor you are able to see the display fine on both the monitors.

When you connect the desktop using the display ports ( vga and dvi port ) you are not getting the display on the external monitors.

Please correct me if i am not right.

I request you to change the input mode on the monitor from hdmi to vga or dvi or auto based on the cable you are connecting and check it.

On the monitor – use the control buttons.  There will be an option to reset monitor settings to default.  Try to reset the monitor and check.

I know BOTH of the HDMI and DVI ports. As my monitors are both VGA, therefore I need the adaptor (VGA to HDMI) and (VGA to DVI). HDMI working fine, it only the DVI was not able to connect as I had tried few types (which in the picture). I just want to know what type of DVI ports is this so I can get a correct adaptor. This configuration is exactly same as my old PC but just could not get the DVI correct. FYI, I had also bought a Dock Station for Display but also not working (not sure why). So I would like to back to the basic configuration. Anyone please help to identified what type of DVI. Many thanks.

Show us a picture of the new computer, showing both ports. DP is quite different than DVI and if the computer is a newer model it likely won't have DVI like your old system.

Ah, so yours is one of the SKUs that has a GPU card installed rather than using the onboard ports. Do you know if it's the GT 730 or GT1030? I believe what is happening is the GPU card isn't being recognized, so the onboard video is getting fired up instead. You can either use onboard video or the GPU card, not both. Likely your best bet is to remove the GPU card and use both of the HDMI ports on the motherboard. If you are still in warranty I'd contact Acer about why the GPU isn't working though...
