    Unfortunately it is not compatible.

Your PC has a new standard ATX12vo power supply, which are still pretty hard to find aftermarket. (Well, at least they were the last time I tried to look for them. Maybe situation has changed?) The one you linked to is a regular ATX PSU. The power delivery connectors have different pin counts between these two standards.

Old ones have one long 24-pin connector and two 4-pin connectors, while your current PSU has one 6-pin and two 4-pin connectors. See upper left ATX2, ATX3 and the 6-pin connector right from the RAM modules.

What GPU do you have now? I used to have PO3-620 with i5-10400f, RTX 3070 and 500w PSU. I know nVidia recommends 550w PSUs for RTX 3070, but since this new 500w PSU is more efficient than older ones, I had zero power related problems.

AFAIK, 6700XT has the same recommended 550 wattage. If so, it is very likely that your current PSU will be more than enough for 6700XT as well.

I bought it pre built it's an gtx1660 super and is about time i needed to upgrade that haha i've been seeing alot of comparison between rtx3060 and rx6700xt and price wise leaning towards 6700 so is somewhat good news if i can keep this 500 psu as you mentioned it is difficult to find those new ATX12vo 😅

Hi. I just bought a new PO5-640 with Corei7 12700F and RTX 3080. I wanted to know in the future (maybe 2-3 years) and if I want to upgrade the PSU, can the below PSU be used for my Orion PC's motherboard? It does say that it is a "ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 standards and is backward compatible with ATX12V 2.2, 2.31 and ATX12V 2.01 systems".

    Thanks.

The current 500w should be enough, but you'll have to try and see. At least in the reviews RTX 3070 uses a tad more power than 6700 xt.

Depending on the resolution and games you play, 6700 xt should be a reasonable option for nvidia cards such as 3060 Ti and 3070. Please keep in mind that if you are into ray tracing and such, nvidia seems to be the better option for that. Just saying.

If possible, sit tight for a few weeks. Soon AMD will launch their new cards and many gamers will be upgrading their current GPUs. This naturally means that nice second hand cards are to be had for cheap!

    Hello there!

I haven't seen that PC model in the flesh, but from searching this forum and little googling it looks like your PC has a normal ATX power supply. Therefore you shouldn't have any problems upgrading your PSU later. Please be aware that some powerful PSUs are bigger than others in, so before buying anything measure how much space you have.

If your current PSU is working well, I'd wait until your future GPU upgrade actually demands a more powerful supply. So let's worry about compatible models later. ^^ Besides, we don't know what kind of connectors and wattage the next gen GPUs will need.
