Nitro AN515-45

Model Name: AN515-45-R4HU

Part Number: NH.QBCEX.006

Hello everyone hope you're doing well,

currently my laptop has x2 8GB RAM sticks 3200MHz SODIMM of memory total 16GB.

I'd like to upgrade that to 32GB, I saw a vendor selling Kingston 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 CL18 DIMM Beast Black,

which probably comes as x2 RAM sticks each per 16GB of 3600MHz DDR4 CL18 DIMM of RAMemory.

After a bit of research I read that this model of nitro laptop, supports up to 32GB of RAM,

needs to be DDR4, so that's fine, regarding the 3200MHz or 3600MHz not sure if it'll be an issue or not?

Anyone has had similar experiences with Kingston or upgrades to 32GB, are the new RAM sticks going to be compatible with the laptop or

will I need some specific RAM sticks from a specific vendor?

Thank you in advance looking forward to your opinions!

    This is the Acer SG memory specs and type of ram modules fitted by Acer for the AN515-45:

    The memory SODIMM modules like you are talking about the 1x 32GB DDR4-3200MHz is not compatible with this laptop, if you want to make sure about all the specs above (which are 100% correct) also do the Crucial System Scan as that will give you all the ram and ssd drives compatible with your laptop.

    @StevenGen @William_mk2 thank you for the information, what do you think is this going to be compatible according to your statement and opinion?

    -> Kingston 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL22 SODIMM 1Rx8? (of course will buy x2 16GB of RAM)

    If you want a total of 32GB at 2x 16GB then use these spec ram and buy a kit, DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600, if you want a total of 16GB then use 2x8GB at specs DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8/1Rx16 • PC4-25600 as both of these kits will make your ram operate at dual channel that is the best for ram to operate for all applications especially editing, games. AS far as manufacturers are concerned, I would use the oem manufacturer that Acer used for the oem ram for your laptop, but make sure that the specs ate exactly the same as above.
