Laptop power plug badly designed, can it be fixed in Acer Predator Gaming Laptop PH317-55-743T?

So I bought the following: Acer Predator Gaming Laptop 17.3" QHD 165Hz i7-11800H 32GB RAM 1TB SSD RTX 3070.

The laptop is great in most respects. However there is one design flaw that screws everything over: The power port is in the back, sticks straight out (i.e. back of laptop and plug form a T shape), and the connection isn't snug at all.

This means that setting the laptop on anything other than a flat table (say, on a soft couch, knees, etc) puts sideways pressure on the power connection, and moving the laptop at all leads to the plug falling out. At this point I've had the laptop for two months and already the power port has been harassed so much (with relatively moderate use) that it barely maintains connection and only at specific plug angle. I've tried bending back the connectors inside the port but it doesn't do much.

Are there any sort of adapters/solutions that might help here? Otherwise I'm afraid the laptop will need to be turned into a desktop while it maintains power connection at all. I guess I can also take it to a laptop repair place in town but unless they can replace it to a different power port/supply I'm not sure they would provide anything more than a temporary fix.

I'm thinking of various Wile E. Coyote solutions such as wrapping tape around parts of the connector to make it fit more snugly, adding some sort of magnet retainer, or even superglue the plug in place, but all of these seem like they would make the issues worse rather than better.
