good morning.

in reference to the all-in-one defined in the title I am noticing the following problems:

- suddenly the wifi, integrated or external on the usb port, is no longer working in navigation with all browsers and, as another example, also in windows updates (only the ping works);

- the original mechanical hard disk or ssd hard disk is not recognized and therefore the windows does not start (in the bios in the "advanced" function it is recognized but in the "boot option" function it is not.) every now and then it is recognized and works.

tests carried out: ugr bios, default values bios, buffer battery replacement, ram cleaning, ram test, removal of internal sk wifi, use of sk wifi usb, replacement of hard disk with ssd with reinstallation of windows 10.

current situation: installed ssd with a clean installation of windows 10; when you start the windows the wifi presents the problems highlighted above.

what do you think?

thank you. Best regards. Giulio.

Even after reinstalling the windows if you are facing the same issue then it looks like a hardware issue.

As a suggestion you can replace the hdd, memory, motherboard and check.

With the Wi-Fi/BT card, chase the antenna wires (black and white see below) and see if they are continuous and are working properly, as and if they are not thatcould be one reason for your card not performing 100% also it could be that your WI-FI/BT card is faulty and needs replacing with a new card, this card is not expensive and is worth replacing. These are the specs and cards suitable for your AIO:

    Wi-Fi/BT card specs:

Acer listed Wi-Fi/BT cards for the U5-620 AIO:

With the 2.5" disk is not recognized, the problem that you might have with your U5-620 AIO is that the 2.5" HDDs are either not plugged into the mobos SATA-3 plug properly and/or the HDD module is not secured properly to the main chassis assembly with its one screw, which the mobo SATA 3 plugs pins could not be making full contact and either the drives or the mobos SATA pug/pins are damaged, check that and if this persists then fix this connection problem.

    good morning.

    Thanks for the reply.

the wifi module, as in your photo, has been removed by unscrewing the screw and extracting it from its housing. inserting a wifi pen on the usb port the same navigation problem occurs (ping to google.com ok but if you try to navigate, chrome-edge, it reports a "status breakpoint" error).

hard drive recognition turns out to be a dancer problem. I can turn off the pc normally and at the next start it is not recognized among the "boot devices".

could it eventually be a motherboard problem?

    thank you. Best regards. Giulio.

It is certainly possible. The WiFi issue sounds like a configuration problem. What is the DNS Servers set to? You might have been hijacked to use a different one than the normal.
