Input not supported DVI-D (monitor) to HDMI (Xbox)

I'm trying to use my Acer monitor (X193W, version(?) X193W bd) to display for my Xbox 360, and I'm using a single cable with an HDMI connector for the Xbox and a DVI-D connector for the monitor. The monitor works just fine with a VGA cable connected to a PC, but when I use the DVI-D port, I receive the message "Input not supported."

After reviewing both the Quick Start Guide and the User Manual, I don't see a means of dictating primary nor secondary input priority for this monitor.

I would greatly appreciate constructive comments on this. I have very little experience with Xbox hardware configurations but an ample background with PC hardware.

Thank you.
