ICONIA W500 Start-Up Problems

I've had my tablet for about a year and a half and love it.  However, I can't get it to boot up now.  When I boot it up, I get the "Android" screen which then does nothing but flash (i.e. blink).  When I try to "safe boot" it via holding down the volume button on the left while simultaneously hitting the "on" button I end up with the Android man flat on his back with an exclamation point in a red triangle.  (It makes me sad to see the Android man in this shape!)  Then, after a bit, the tablet tries to reboot but ends up with the blinking "Android" screen again.

Any of you tech-savvier folks know of a way I might be able to get my beloved tablet to work again?  (I've gone almost two weeks without playing Jurassic Park Builder and I'm not entering the "severe withdrawl" stage.

Thanks.

Yes this is confusing, the W500 is a Windows machine.

    hi....

As per the error message information, the tablet model is A500 and not W500.

You need to contact tecnical support with the serilannumber of your tablet to resolve this issue

There is no physical label with the serial number on the Android tablet, but there is a label with the tablet’s SNID number on the underside of the MicroSD/SIM card cover.

    Regards

Thanks.  I did indeed misname the type of tablet I have; it is an A500.  Can you tell I'm kinda new to this whole thing?

    I'll contact technical support.
