Acer LCD monitor SB240Y have no sound Does this monitor have in built speaker?

recently purchased this monitor and just realized I have no sound. Does this monitor have built in speakers?

    No, it hasn't, you need external speakers

    Thanks. In looking at the wiring setup the monitor has only 1 connection for audio and it appears to be for output as it has a headphone icon above it. It's between the power cord and the VGA input. I would think the sound should come thru the computer sound card but could the monitor have a sound card or ,if not ??

    That is for sounds that comes into the monitor though the HDMI signal. You can use headphones or connect speakers to that port if you would prefer not to use the computer speakers.
