Sleep, hibernate or shut down: Which one is good for windows 8 tablet PC?

    Anyone, if using Iconia W510 and having enable hibernate, could send me some screen shot images to explain me how it works?

    OK it looks like your tablet has Connected Standby enabled, which is what is blocking Hibernate. I don't know if we're going to be able to disable Connected Standby without screwing up what's working correctly now. My W700 doesn't support Connected Standby which is why Hibernate is working on my machine.

     

    Before diving into what's possible in terms of disabling CS, it's probably worth doing some testing for battery life. If battery life in CS is similar to battery life in hibernate, then it's probably better to just leave well enough alone. If battery life is running at under 24 hours or so in CS mode then we should talk more.

    Power is not problem. But still I want to hibernate the tablet some time. I am interested to find this option.
