Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'. Scroll down and uncheck box for fast startup.

    Hi alimkhan8241,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.

my aspire's power light is now on all the time and is amber in color, it stays on even with power off. Followed ALL the steps recommended at least two or three times with no change. Even swapped memory and hard drive and change power setting to default and turned of fast start. Nothing works. Thinking something went bad on the motherboard. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
