How to stop B247W Display Patterns Cycling

Acer,

Recently I purchased two B247W monitors for a triple monitor setup (2 external monitors, and the main (laptop) monitor). The monitors worked well when I received them, but today (10/26/2022) I locked the system (Windows Key + L) and when I returned and logged into the system one monitor worked and the other displays a test pattern, in a loop, repeatedly.

I have attempted to find a way to exit this apparent test mode, but there is nothing online explaining how to do so. ...and nothing in your forums. I have powered off the monitor (power button, power switch, and disconnected the power cable), but neither of those resets the monitor. I have reset the monitor to factory defaults (or I think I have, because there is no OSD of the menu), by following the process as evident by using the other monitor as a guide.

The question is: How do I reset the monitor to normal operating mode? If that is not possible, do I return the faulty monitor to you or to the retailer (NewEgg)?

Thank you,

    Billsey,

I did attempt to do that, but there is no OSD (i.e. only the test patterns are displayed). I did attempt to follow the clicks that allowed me to reset settings using the alternate monitor, but nothing changed. I also downloaded the application for the monitor, and reset settings through that application. ...but it did nothing.

Any other path to fixing the behavior, and any reason why the monitor decided to start this behavior? ...or do I need to return the monitor for a replacement?

    Thank you,

I believe it's part of the burnin test they do at the factory, and there's not supposed to be a way to get into it, so they don't document how to get back out. :( Usually a reset gets you back to normal. You might contact Acer and see if they have a solution.
