I'm a college student, and I have an Acer Spin 5 that I purchased in June of 2021. I needed a good, versatile computer for college, and one with a long battery life, as I am a computer science student. Over the first year, I wasn't disappointed with the battery life, but in the last six months I noticed the battery life had decreased a ton, and from about 10 hours, I was getting only 1-2. This morning I checked in, and at 80% I had a recorded hour and 12 minutes of battery life, and now that I turned on power efficiency and turned down my brightness to the lowest level I have 75% battery at 2 hours and 18 minutes. I was wondering if there's anything I can do to increase my battery life? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but it didn't seem to do much. I have info from my battery report, but I'm unsure whether to share the entire file.

This is info from the first days of my battery report

This is recent info from my battery report

The thing is that after alot of time laptop battery's slowly become worse and worse . The next time when you buy a laptop do this thigs :

Turn of the laptop by windows (that will help ssd-nvme life too)

If the battery can be removed dont do that too much

If it is possible put the charger it to the laptop (when it is 100% it will use the battery less)

Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc. Right-click on one of the column headers and tick 'Power Usage' and 'Power usage trend'. See which processes are using all the power. If you click on these column headers you can sort them to see what is using the most power instantaneously, or over time (trend).

On my laptop, turning off Bluetooth makes a big difference. I suspect you have something running in the background that is wasting energy.
