How do I get out of the Automatic Repair Boot Loop?
I have an older laptop running Windows 8.1 Pro. Someone gave me a copy of Windows 10 they bought. I installed it. Everything went smooth. The computer restarted and as it was initializing the screen turned Blue and it told me it was repairing a startup issue. It fails to repair it and gives me options to reset, shut down etc... I've tried it all. Nothing works. I need help just putting it back to Win 8. 10 obviously doesn't work on this computer. If anyone can give me a nudge in the right direction, i'd forever be in your debt.

Try this method..
On a different working computer.
Go to the website
https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10
Below the info Create Windows 10 installation media
click on download tool now..
It will download the windows media creation tool - click on media creation file on the lower left corner.
Insert a blank 8 gb flash drive
it will download and install the windows 10 on the blank flash drive..
Now insert the flash drive on the broken computer
Boot it using flash drive..
click on install
chose custom
on where do you want to install windows screen - remove all the partitions
It will become like one single unallocated space
There is no need to format it..
chose the unallocated space
click on next
It will install the operating system.
You can even order Acer recovery media.
Please visit the website - support.acer.com - chose your country - click on shop. scroll down - click on eRecovery media on the bottom of page. Enter the snid no - you can place the order for recovery media. It might be a set of disks or recovery usb flash drive. Alternatively, on the top right corner you can find the phone no to contact Acer store. You can also order it from Acer store.
Recovery media is a unique media which is designed only for your computer. It cannot be used on any other computer. It comes with drivers and applications which is designed for your computer.

Thank you. I'm using the media creation tool right now. I thought I'd try that first. If that doesn't work, then on to the recovery disk. I have a feeling I'm going to need it.

OK. I am installing the Windows 10 boot disc. It gets through the process and at the finish line pops up a box that says "it couldn't get the computer ready for the next phase of installation."Restart the computer to complete the installation." So i restart it and the install box comes up. I clicked on Repair and performed a Repair. Right now it is repairing disk errors and says it will take over an hour. This has come up before. It never repairs the problem. Instead it just reboots. Looks like I'm going to need the recovery disk.

I'm looking for recovery media and only see it for Windows 10 and 11. I called, and the tech was absolutely no help. He told me he didn't know what to do and just took it to a repair shop. I'm not doing that until I try everything I can. If anyone here knows of a good recovery disk I could use, I'd appreciate it. Thank you
