I recently purchased a brand new Acer Aspire A515-45-R43G Windows 10 laptop. I've been trying to fix some of the issues I have with the graphics. I don't like the 1920x1080 display. The text is too small and there are issues with some apps being blurry - including system apps and/or dialogs. Even with the scaling set 150% and using compatibility override high DPI settings, there are still some things that just aren't right. Even screenshots posted online look blurry on browser pages - even though the text and all other graphics on the page looks fine. I really wanted to change the resolution to 1366x768 which is what my old laptop was but it isn't available as an option. To see what might be possible to help with these issues, and following advice I got from another forum, I downloaded and installed the VGA driver from the Acer website (VGA_AMD_27.20.14016.13_W10x64_(RX640)) but I haven't been able to try changing any settings because, following the install, I can't access the Radeon software. It doesn't appear in the start menu or desktop context menu. It's showing up in Programs & Features but that only uninstalls the software. I have tried numerous times uninstalling and re-installing the driver software but it just doesn't show up. I've tried using the AMDCleanupUtility but it hasn't made any difference.

I've also just discovered something that may or may be related. When I check the AMD graphics driver events in Device Manager it says the following:

Events:

Device not started (amdkmdag)

Information:

Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_164C&SUBSYS_152B1025&REV_C2\4&14e9da73&0&0041 had a problem starting.

Driver Name: oem1.inf

Class Guid: {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

Service: amdkmdag

Lower Filters:

Upper Filters:

Problem: 0x0

Problem Status: 0xC00000E5

What does this mean, is it something I should be concerned about, and does it have anything to do with the software? I purchased the laptop 17/09/2022 and the events list says the problem began 24/09/2022 which was when I first installed the Acer AMD driver.
