So I've been playing with my Oculus QUEST 2 for like 1 week because i bought it 1 week ago. And everything was working fine everything was super smooth when they was plugging my cable to my PC laptop. Then one day I tried to play the game and my PC suddenly overheated for some reason because I was never lagging efore on this game (On quest link btw with a cable) and just after the lag and overheat everything started to lag whenever i was trying to get to the oculus link main menu. (where you can see your desktop ECT) I'm actually on a gaming laptop and every of my drivers are updated!

Whenever I try to move my hands everything is laggy and when I move my head I can see the black square and everything is screechy and blurry and i can't run any game at all. But when I enter the STEAMVR interface everything is fluid and then goes back to the lag when the game starts! (my pc was plugged)

The same situation happened to me while playing call of duty warzone while being plugged. I was playing and suddenly the pc overheated and my fans went crazy. I stopped the game and everything went normal but when i was playing everything was laggy, even after restarts! I fixed it by reinstalling nvidia drivers but it doesn't work for my VR issue!

please help!

Download the RTX Experience NVidia software as that will have all the appropriate settings for these games, or you can get allot of guides to these games that will make your RTX-3050Ti with the i5-11400H and 16GB ram perform at its peak. Also make sure that your windows OS is up to date. High end games need specialist settings to perform at their best, this is especially on laptops that don't have the high levels of cooling like a gaming desktop has while playing high end game. The Nitro 5 AN515-57 laptop is a pretty good gaming specs laptop, its not the top spec gaming laptop around but its right up there and you should not be having these problems.

Your AN515-57 with the RTX-3050Ti / i5-11400H and 16GB ram (which is the Ultra RTX Specifications for the Call of Duty: Warzone and should run perfectly) you need to specifically check your settings for these games. You can also upgrade the ram (if you want ultimate performance) as your laptop can also be upgraded to 64GB max total into its 2x slots (do the Crucial scan) and also add a tablet cooler as all that will make your laptop perform properly and your AN515-57 should play all these games without any lagging, fps drops easily.

Apparently i'm unable to download the program because it requiers a "NVIDIA Quadro,Tesla or NVS with a downloaded pilot".

I have the exact same problem. I was playing genshin then my laptop overheat and the fans were spinning at max speed. After that every time I enter a game it's always laggy below 15fps. Please tell me how to fix it.

I've been addressing the issue of the Oculus Quest 2 overheating and found several solutions:

    • Remove the Face Pad:
      • A quick fix for a noisy cooling fan is to remove and then replace the face pad. This can sometimes quiet down the fan.
    • Allow Cool Down Time:
      • Regular breaks during gaming sessions give the headset a chance to cool down, especially if the room temperature is high.
    • Manage Charging:
      • Avoid charging the headset immediately after use. Let it cool down first and consider charging it overnight.
    • Lower Room Temperature:
      • Adjusting the room's temperature can help, such as using air conditioning or opening windows for better ventilation.
    • Use a Neck Fan:
      • A neck fan can help keep both you and the headset cooler during extended play.
    • Perform a Factory Reset:
      • If overheating occurs frequently without heavy use, a factory reset might resolve underlying issues.
    • Return Under Warranty:
      • If the headset consistently overheats and is still under warranty, consider returning it for a replacement.

These steps helped in managing and reducing overheating issues with the Quest 2. Feel free to check out my post for more details on any of these solutions!
