Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-707X, i7-10750H, RTX3060 laptop.

In all usage scenarios, the GPU Power sensor provides incorrect data. This does not affect performance in any way, but I would like to know what exactly the problem is. The problem is not solved by software. I tried installing factory drivers, tried flashing the video chip to 85 watt factory firmware, 95 watt factory firmware, and firmware from other vendors. At the same time, the NVVDD sensor shows reliable data. I am also worried that in a completely clean laptop, the video chip heats up to 87 degrees and starts throttling.

Too hot. Thermal module maintenance is suggested to include re-pasting the heatsinks to the CPU/GPU and GPU.

  • What bios version did you upgrade to and what board firmware version did you upgrade to?

By the way, a similar question has already been asked, but apparently there was no solution. Mal rendimineto Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 — Acer Community

    >>>The laptop has been completely cleaned, the thermal paste and thermal pad have been replaced. Moreover, an Aero Blade fan was installed, so during the use I changed 3 radiators in the hope that something would change.>>>

What do you mean by "I changed 3 radiators"? Were heat transfer tubes ever modified or subjected to stress/bending?

I have attached photos. Physically replaced 3 radiators. I ordered new ones through the service center, I thought that it would somehow help) No, I was not subjected to physical exertion. I am a very neat person and know how to take care of equipment. Sorry, google translate.

Yes, I see the photos. As far as I know, the thermal module tubes are not air ducts. They may in fact be sealed at both ends and operate by convection of a coolant that may have leaked out. Did you replace the thermal module too?

What do you mean by thermal module? I replaced the entire cooling system, and more than once. I also replaced the fans, one generally put a modified metal one from a predator. Naturally replaced thermal paste and liquid thermal pads. What else should I have changed? 😁

The main part of the thermal module is as depicted in your photo. It is sold as a thermal module with part numbers as shown below. If the thermal module was also was replaced and properly re-pasted with the same overheating result, I can only conclude the thermal module replacement was also defective.

Heat generated by the processors apparently is not being efficiently carried away from the processor heat sinks to the fan air heat exchangers. In other words, the copper colored heat transfer tubes that connect the fan compartments with the processor compartments, are not transferring heat very well.

It has been hot since the day I bought it. For the sake of experiment, I ordered a completely new cooling kit, it did not help. After that, I ordered another set to be completely sure that it was not the cooling system. In order to install it incorrectly, need to have hands growing out of *****. Most of all, I tend to think that either the engineers didn’t finish something, or I just got unlucky with the chip, since along with the heating problem, there is also the problem of incorrect GPU Power sensor readings.

You mentioned this earlier. I'm not quite clear about exactly what you did here. If you mean the ACER OEM GPU firmware was replaced with generic nvidia GPU firmware, adverse or unexpected side effects might result due to the Acer proprietary mainboard hardware environment in which the chip must operate.

My God. Overheating and incorrect sensor readings came to light immediately after purchase. All other actions do not take into account at all, they were made in an attempt to fix problems. Without a reason, I would not reflash the bios or do anything else. I just listed what steps were taken in an attempt to resolve the issue. If it is difficult for your mentality to understand this, you should not write useless posts in principle. Thank you.
