Hello,

AN715-51. No POST. Power LED will go on when power button pressed and goes off right away. Also does not show that ac adapter is plugged in battery indicator will go on then off right away when adapter is plugged into notebook.

Removed the CMOS battery and main battery and let power drain from the unit. Reconnect the batteries and then the notebook will go through what appears to be the BIOS hardware detection process with no POST but several power cycles. (The same as a new desktop PC on first POST) After the this process the notebook will run and operate normally but it has now happened again 2 weeks later.

Installed latest (1.33) firmware.

What could be corrupting the BIOS so that it needs a full reset?

Thanks

Doug

Update. I said power LED flashes with power button press. It is Battery LED that flashes.
