I already tried all necessary methods (reinstalling and uninstalling) neither of them work,

First gpu not detected by nvidia drivers (also in device manager and other cpu/gpu freewares)

I think the solution is reballing the gpu, i guess?? seems the always problem of nitro 5 is losing its recognition of gpu but i think this is the first one not able to detect the gpu at all.

PS: If you will try suggest resetting, uninstalling, reinstalling, running as admin, bios, and etc. It won't work, and acer hotline seems to be busy. (Oh im still a high school student so expect that i'm not all-knowing, thanks)

  • It would help very much if you told us the exact Nitro 5 model number that you have as and if its a new model and under warranty, then don't open your laptop and get Acer to fix this problem for you. Did you try to update all the drivers like the Intel graphics, chipset drivers and all the windows drivers? Did you uninstall all the NVidia previous graphics and audio drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.5.4 and reinstall the new NVidia driver that way? Did you update the bios to your Nitro 5 latest bios? As in the bios there is also a vbios for the graphics that some Nitro 5 models have from Acer to update your gpu? Try all that as its very unusual that a gpu doesn't work oe is recognised especially on a new laptop.

If not and as all Nitro 5 models have a secondary gou and installing the appropriate NVidia driver will discover and make your gpu work, then its either a problem with the actual gpu that is faulty/damaged as and if that is the case then, a gpu can't be fixed or replaced, as the only solution is to replace the motherboard.

I forgot my email so i created a new one the model is Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44-R8US i already did and i already revert from windows 11 to windows since all of the technicians recommending to go back to win 10 because of buggy win 11 and it does not support windows 11 manuals and drivers. Answering from NVidia softwares i already fresh installed everything down to beginning and i didnt see some resolution to those one. And i have the latest bios installed since the first startup. I wish i can contact acer since centers in my country won't fix internationally shipped acer laptops under warranties.

The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44-R8US works with Win-11, you don’t need Acer to have special Win-11 drivers for your laptop to work 100% with this laptops either AMD, Nvidia, Intel, ELANTECH, Synaptics , Killer, Atheros, Realtek and XPERI components to work with Win-11, as all these components driver get updated either through “Windows Update” or you need to go to the Acer Drivers & Manuals for the AN515-44 and get the Win-10 drivers as they work with Win-11 for your laptop.

I’ve got a new Acer Nitro AN515-56 that came with Win-10 Home from new but, what I did is done a “Clean Install” of Win-11. Also, my AN515-56 has the exact Nvidia GTX-1650 graphics card that your AN515-44 has, and it works perfectly and 100% with Nvidia driver 516.94 WHQL for Win-11.

Do a “Clean Install” of Win-11 with downloading the Create Windows 11 Installation Media on an 8GB USB and on another USB have ready the AMD Chipset Driver Version: 2.07.14.118 (just in case you need this driver after you completely format the M.2 boot drive) get into the installation Win-11 USB through Win-10 operating system like this:

    1.   Get into System > Recovery > Advanced startup

    2.   When you get to blue screen “Choose an Option > Use a Device

    3.   Start the Win-11 installation USB and start the installation

    4.   When you get to the “Where do you want to install Windows?” screen click on your Drive 0 > choose Format

    5.   After you have completely formatted the boot Drive 0, continue the installation of Win-11 and if the installation does not continue, then click “Load driver >” and from the other USB that you have, load the AMD Chipset Driver Version: 2.07.14.118 so that the Win-11 installation continues.

Then install Win-11 completely and make sure that all the Windows Updates and drivers are up to date, also and after all Windows Updates are installed, look into Device Manager and if any drivers are not installed then get those drivers from the Acer Drivers & Manuals for the AN515-44 page.

This is how you do a successful “Clean Install of Win-11” so try that as Win-11 should work perfectly and 100% on your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44-R8US.
