My specs are R7 5800H/RTX 3060/16gb ram, i have upgraded my ssd which resulted in a reset, and have lost my acer optimized power plan. Would be very helpful if someone uploaded their acer power plan on a stock ssd setup.

Thanks

Where's the old drive with the original acer power plan in the hidden OEM partition?

The old drive was formatted and used for older laptop. :( Recovering files should be possible but not sure what files to be recovered.

Were all the partitions on the old drive formatted or just the Windows C : \ partition? A hidden recovery partition contains the original factory setup with the Acer specific software. If the hidden factory partition was wiped, it's gone. It can then only be recovered with a USB recovery USB image if you made one when you first got the machine or if you're in the US or Canada it might be available from the on line store for about $50.

However, I'm not quite sure why you're interested in the ACER optimized plan since a Windows custom power plan can do virtually the same thing and often better than any of the Acer stuff..

I know normal windows power plans work fine, but nitro sense temperatures are now inaccurate and I am not sure if the fan curve behavior changes because of the temperature inaccuracies.

And no I do not have access to USB Recovery. and yes the entire drive was wiped to remove OEM based bloatware which comes preinstalled. If the fan curve is as expected (am monitoring for sometime) I don't mind this pure windows based power plans.

    Thanks

How are you determining NitroSense temps are inaccurate?

Because before my laptop used to idle around 50C now it idles around 20C higher and sometimes it idles at lower temps and aida64 reports lower temps for some reason.

Heh-heh. That seems like a pretty definitive subjective evaluation. 🙂 I suggest using a few more temp monitoring freeware like Core Te mp or HWM onitor or MS I after burner. If this was the worst of my issues with a generic Windows installation instead of the OEM version, I'd consider myself lucky. Then custom make my own power plan, and disable some of the needless startup programs in Task Manager that the generic version loads in the background that might affect idling temps.
