I just purchased a used (like new) 34in curved monitor (XR342CK) and am having trouble using it at a display with my Lenovo Yoga C740 laptop. Anytime the laptop goes to sleep or restarts, the display is forgotten and I have to go set up all the multiple display settings again, despite selecting to “remember displays.” My laptop is on Windows 11, but this Acer monitor driver only has Windows 10 available. Not sure it this is the problem, but what is expected timeline for this driver to be available in 11? Thanks!

Try powering on the Acer monitor first. Wait a few minutes. Then power on the Lenovo second. Then test to see if Lenovo remember after sleeping.

There isn't a different driver needed for Windows 11 which is why there's not a W11 specific ones listed. You likely need to configure your port on the laptop to stay powered up when the rest of the system goes to sleep. :(

Any chance you’re able to instruct me how to do that? The sad face doesn’t give me much hope!!

If you're referring to how to put the rest of the system to sleep, I doubt the Lenovo will let you do that directly. You can check with the Lenovo forums to be sure. Indirectly you configure Control Panel's power button app to do nothing when you close the lid. This will keep the CPU and port alive in a low power drain state since the Hall lid position sensor automatically shut off the lid screen. Sort of a twilight sleep mode.

RESOLVED!!! The problem was my USB-C hub I used to connect to the monitor via HDMI. I bought a cable this morning that was USB-C on one end and HDMI on the other, avoiding a hub. Works perfectly now! Thank you all for your input.

Congratulations. Thanks for reporting back and revealing that there was also an intermediary middle man involved in the mystery. 🙂
