Open Device Manager. If no red or yellow warnings, expand the Display adapters folder. Please post a screenshot of result if possible.

Uninstall the intel graphics through Device Manager and use this software Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.5.4 to uninstall all NVIDIA drivers for your graphics/audio drivers for your laptop, then reboot the laptop as windows will install generic drivers and your laptop should work.
Then install the latest NVIDIA driver from the NVIDIA drivers site for your graphics card and also install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant so that this Intel software scan installs all the appropriate and latest Intel drivers like graphics, chipset etc for your laptop. Try all that as you have a driver error problem(s) and that is why you are getting these crashes and also make sure that you have Windows Updated and also install the last AN515-55 bios update version 2.05 1. Improve for GPU protection. installed but and make sure that when you do this bios update, your AN515-55 is tested thoroughly that it does NOT CRASH, as doing a bios update with a laptop that can crash could brick your laptop and its bios if the laptop crashes in the middle of a bios update. Try all that and let us know.

could this be a windows 11 problem?

>>>could this be a windows 11 problem?>>>
Yes, likely. Despite the Microsoft hype & flashing messages urging you to upgrade now, your laptop is not completely ready for Win11 till the Acer download page has released the updated Win11 drivers. Like the rest of us Acer users, you'll just to keep checking the page since we have no idea when they be released. Meanwhile if it keeps disappearing, you might want to try downloading and install iobit's Driver Booster freeware to see if it can find any better Win11 drivers on line.

Was the laptop sitting on the bed mattress?

Yes it was on the mattress

It probably overheated from the air vents on the bottom being blocked. If this is done too many times, the GPU and other circuits will eventually fail. The laptop must be used on a hard surface, preferrably raised a little to promote air flow in and out of the bottom cover vents.
Does the laptop still turn on plugged in?

No
no sign of life no charging lights, no fans, no keyboard light.

Do you have a multimeter to check voltage output of charger plug between outer barrel and center hole contact? Should be 19vdc.

No i don’t have one

How about a friend? Digital multimeters are pretty cheap these days --- only abut $15usd --- and can be useful for many situations like this including diagnosing problems with other electronic devices or household electrical appliances.
There's not much more diagnostics that we can help with if no LEDs or other signs of life. Sorry, we can't really guess what's going on without some way of checking if the power supply is still OK. If you can't borrow or afford a multimeter, then you might have to take it to a local laptop repair shop for evaluation and repair cost estimate.
