Startup power issues My Acer-1080

My Acer-1080 startup is not consistent. 1) It May start up fine, 2) It May require the power supply to be disconnected, then plugged immediately back in, and then works fine or 3) Neither works, so you need to unplug the power supply and hold the on off switch down for up to a minute before it starts up. Do I need to replace the power supply? Once it’s started it works fine till the next day
