LCD Screen Horizontal Lines on AN515-51.

Does this seem like a faulty Nitro 5 LCD? The lines disappear after a few minutes after the laptop starts or wakes.

I can't reproduce the issue by wiggling or bending the eDP cable. So I don't think it is at fault.

External monitors wok fine on the HDMI.

    Hi @V123456

    Horizontal and vertical lines are visible on a blank or black screen when the computer lid is opened after the computer resumes from Sleep mode. This occurs when the AC power is not connected to the computer while resuming from Sleep mode.

    To solve this issue try reinstalling the graphics driver. Since you have not mentioned the full model number of your device, you may check if any other update is available for this model.

    Thank you for looking into the issue.

    I updated the drives again. No change.

    It does not matter if the laptop is plugged in or not. Happens either way.

    I should mention the lines also appear over the Acer BIOS start screen.

    Take these steps and if they don't work then replace the screen:

    How to Fix Computer Screen Lines

    Here are all of the best solutions for getting rid of horizontal lines on your computer screen or monitor. But first check the eDP cable of the AN515-51 screen that connects the screen from the screen to the motherboard. If you need to replace the screen then only replace the screen with the exact part number of your OEM screen that is on a sticker on the back of your faulty monitor, the AN515-51 screens are:

    1.   Turn your monitor off and on again. It seems like a basic fix, but it can often correct any screen glitches, such as horizontal lines.

    18.Reset your monitor to its factory settings. If you’re using an external monitor or screen, use its built-in settings, not your computer’s settings, to reset it to its factory settings.     Turned out it was the screen that was faulty, not the cable. Possible a capacitor issue. I swapped the screen, used the same cable, and it was perfect.
