Laptop waking up from sleep after plugging charger in

Hello everyone,

I have a question/concern and was hoping to get some help with it.  I have an Acer Aspire A515 and I started noticing when I close my screen lid or manually put the laptop to sleep, when I plug in my charger, it will automatically wake up the laptop and bring me to the sign-in screen.  I tried looking through the Power & Sleep settings but I have not found a solution to this.  Thank you.

I have a similar issue with my Acer Swift 3 SF315-52-52MC. When putting the laptop to sleep with the charger plugged in, the screen goes black but the power light stays on all the time and occassionally I hear the CPU cooling fan spin up indicating that the lapto is not actually asleep. When I unplug the charger the power light goes off and the fan does not spin indicating that the laptop does then sleep but that drains the battery, albeit slowly. When plugging the charger back in, the screen comes on briefly and then goes black again with the power light staying on indicating the computer is not asleep again.

I also noticed my fan speeding up when I put the laptop in sleep mode and plug the charger in.  I also discovered if I plug the charger in first and then try put the laptop to sleep, it does not go to sleep.
