Hello,

I have Acer Nitro 5(5800H, 32 GB RAM(upgraded from 16 and matches the frequency)and 2 TB of storage. The problem I face is sometime the desktop screen freezes and does not allow to close the application , use task manager to close any unresponsive app etc).I am having tough time in isolating the issue. I had to do hard reset to restart the laptop.

I have windows 11(with all latest updates)
All drivers are updated
No virus or malware issues

But I have lot of background apps running once the windows started.
Bitdefender
Easeus Backup service
Onedrive, google drive services
power automate(though I am not using it)
plex service,
HDD sentinel for hardware monitoring etc
Multicommander for folder/file navigation

I have vivaldi and opera browsers with lot of extensions and I use them regularly. All looks good but suddenly the desktop freezes and does not allow me to close/restart the laptop. Even shutdown command is not working. Even I tried to use Acer power menu to shutdown the laptop, that too does not complete.

I could not determine, at which instance or application usage it freezes. I tried to look at the windows event viewer but I see only power failure critical error. I used "WhoCrased" app to analzye the memory dumps but what I see is this error

The following dump file was found but appeared to be corrupt: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
The following dump file was found but appeared to be corrupt: C:\Windows\Minidump\040622-10906-01.dmp

Experts can tell me how to troubleshoot, isolate the issue. The issue does not happen regularly but happens twice in a week or so.

I disabled unwanted services in startup, stopped services that might not be required(eg: Killer network service, power automate etc) but still it happens

Unplug the change and press and hold power button for 15-20sec.
