Hello,
Just bought one from Argos, and setting it up. When the laptop is running the charger runs for about 5 minutes gets very warm then cuts out. Unplug for a minute and when plugged back in  the process repeats. Win 11 says battery is at 68%. Turn off laptop and charge light comes on and, stays on and charger runs much cooler. I've read the answer about updating the bios, but wasnt sure if this fix related to the problem I have. PSU is 19V 45W, wondering if it is faulty.

    Hi @Lemmy282

Disconnect the laptop from the charger, turn it off completely. Then flip the laptop upside down. At the back side of the laptop there will be a tiny hole with a battery symbol. You just have to press and hold down into that hole for 30 secs.

Hope it will help you in some way.

Thanks for the advice. I tried the fix on the bottom of the case, nothing changed. I left it plugged in for several hours with the laptop switched off and although the charging light was on the battery never moved from about 60%. Contacted Argos, they suggested taking it back as it sounded like a battery fault. Got a full refund, so now looking for a laptop again!!

    Thanks for all your help
