Acer AN515-57-54BB

Just bought this machine and to quickly check out all my software.
I installed my ssd(old sata) with an older running system.
Just to quickly  get a feel for the box.

But it will not show up in Bios or Win10 boot menu (of the pre installed acer system(M.2)

what i tried
Uninstal the M.2 (just boot with the Sata)
sata recognized in boot options but then discarded as unbootable
by a message from the laptop

Win
 Msconfig
 Bcedit

Bios
F12
With and without secure boot
TPM turned of (but not deleted)

is the only option to reinstall all my software on the new M.2
since  this is just a test i would like to avoid to install
all my personal files, Till i´m sure i´ll stay with this notebook

in short:
how do i get the 2nd drive to be the main or optional boot device

Any suggestions will be appreciated ;)

    Sorry i fell asleep

    found a solution
For everybody running into this problem, download Easybcd its free for home use
with this you can make an entrance into the bootmanager
i selected my old drive as the new preferred boot drive
in Bios hit STRG+S under Main there appears a new Intel VD entry, disable!
Disable all the other Intel and Secure Boot options
After you are good to go.

    If you need the drivers
Just update each driver and direct the search to the Original Pre installed Win-OS drive -
*/windows and your drivers will all be found one by one

    Quick and dirty
But with this you can then actually do a fresh install from an usb
For instance : My acer Nitro was a french install
Now i´m free to install any version i want, and not rely on the recovery Partition (which always be french)

    Update
Cant use an usb stick to boot!
used the STRG+S to get more options(in Bios) but none of them made the 2nd hdd bootable
  • Can you send a picture of the bios info tab? You are trying to boot from the new ssd you added, correct? Did this new ssd already contain an operating system that was installed on another computer?
