Hi, i'm using PH315-53 RTX3060
something just trouble me for quite a while, which i have 2 external monitor, monitor using HDMI cable works perfectly with 144hz, when comes to the Mini-DisplayPort. MDP is giving me a butthurt.

I tried several things
- looking for driver updates (done)
- Nvidia experience updates (done)
- switching cable between monitor (only MDP is having issue)
- MDP -> HDMI using adapter (doesn't work)
- MDP -> VGA using adapter it works

but, it doesn't support FHD (1920 x 1080), I tried to configure the setting in advance display all I got is 1024x1280 or 2048 x 2560

Need some enlightenment and explanation on this. Don't get it why it doesn't work, as I using the same monitor in desktop all working perfectly well.

Thanks

@3rdCandy does Mini DisplayPort to Display Port work? Also, check the list of resolutions here:

@AnhEZ28 I currently don't have cable for MDP -> DP, as both of my monitor only support VGA and HDMI. and no, the maximum solution that show is  1024x1280 or 2048 x 2560 in the resolution list for the monitor that using VGA.

side question, a direct cable MDP to DP can run 144hz?

    What about mdp-2-mdp or mdp-2-dp?

@3rdCandy might be the Mini DP to VGA adapter is faulty.
    Yes, it should.

That may be the issue. The miniDP is primarily a digital video signal output, not analog VGA signal. The adapter you're using is likely a passive miniDP to VGA physical connector adapter, not a digital to analog signal converter.  Any analog essentially dual-output capability of the miniDP port would likely be very limited. There are active DP-to-VGA D-A signal converters but reasonably priced converters typically have refresh rates under 60Hz.
