Hello to all,

I recently reset my laptop to factory specs but I'm missing some Acer drivers, etc that will apparently prevent me from upgrading to Windows 11.  Specifically the TPM 'trusted Platform Module'.  I checked the BIOS setting but no reference to it.

Actually, where can I download whatever Acer stuff was included when the laptop was originally purchased?

Many thanks for any infrormation.

Sorry, your laptop does not meet the current hardware requirements for Win11. TPM is not a driver or software. It's actually a hardware module like a RAM module that gets plugged into a TPM socket on the mainboard. Your mainboard does not have this TPM socket. Furthermore, your model does not support the newer generation of Intel CPUs that were introduced on or after 2017. Since Win11 hardware requirements still have not been finalized, it's possible that the situation will change in the future.

I'm looking for those drivers too. Specifically, Aspire 5739g. The support page used to have all the drivers and utilities needed for this laptop. Even windows xp had full support.
A few months ago the support page changed. Now it has only a few generic drivers for win7 only. No utilities.
I use this laptop for various software testing, "sandboxing" and just as a spare screen. Was working great for many years until the most recent clean install of the system. Now the drivers for it cannot be found on Acer support page and no luck with googling hardware id's either :(
Can anyone provide any links or tips how to get those original drivers from the old support page back? Please, I'm not sleeping because of this :'(

Sorry. Per Microsoft request, nearly all WinXP material was removed several years ago. However, suitable drivers are still available on line using readily available freeware driver tools like DriverBooster, DriverPack.
