Hi all
I have an Aspire E15 E5-575G whos hinges ceased up and cause the screen casing to break. This all happened a while back. I have since been using another laptop. I have now got it repaired but after many updates my wifi has stopped working and updates are not completing and there definitely seems to be a system issue.
I would like to reset to factory default but keep getting asked for a password which I no longer have.
Any suggestions?

Open Device Manager. Doe you see any red or yellow warning symbols?

    No. none at all.

Qualcomm Atheros Wireless Adapter says all is good...

    But wifi still not working..

Right click on the wifi driver and uninstall it. Then shut down Windows normally without trying to re-install anything. Then turn it back on and let Windows automatically re-detect the wifi card and re-install a fresh copy of its driver.

You should be able to do a full erase everything ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset though I think the problem is the communication setup between your wifi & router,
