Just had an incident where my screen turned all black and I heard a loud buzzing. Only way to stop it was to manually turn it off and back on manually. I wasn't running any heavy programs, just spotify, chrome and a few excel worksheets. I don't know what was wrong but everything seems normal now, is there any type of diagnostic I should run and what happened? I have an Aspire E 15

I understand you say "Screen turns all black, loud buzzing"

Now the computer is normal and it is working fine.

I suspect a fan or both to be some-what dirty too, so make sure to clean them if possible.

If the screen goes black next time, please try ctrl + alt + del simultaneously on the keyboard.  It will show you a new screen.  You can go to taskmanager.    Check whether any unnecessary programs are causing the issue.   You can always end task it.

    On the taskmanager
    click on File
    click on run new task
    Create new task will appear
    type explorer
    click on ok

It should show you all the icons..
