I have had this laptop for a year. Occasionally, when I put it to sleep on full battery, unplug the charger and be away for a few hours, the laptop is left with 0% battery. I have also noticed that sometimes the power indicator light keep flashing orange and blue when in sleeping mode, like it waking up and sleeping again immediately. Is it the cause of the battery drain? This only happen when I have the lid closed. My lid is set to just turn off the display when closed, so I put it to sleep manually by using the Fn-F4 shortcut.

Yes it the flashing of blue and orange light while in sleep indicates something interupting the laptop while sleep.
I noticed this in my laptop when i put it in sleep mode then after if i accidently move my mouse a little bit then the sleep gets interupted and my laptop showed the blue and orange light and leads to battery drain

Just tested and it is really my USB mouse that causes the problem. Have you found a way to prevent this or just unplug the mouse when you are away?

No it isn’t. I set it to only activate at lower than 20% and I usually don’t leave my laptop’s battery that low when I’m away.

    Hi @SpyBurner,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.

I had same issue. External mice and keyboard can cause this. to prevent external devices waking up during sleep:
    1. open terminal/ cmd/ powershell and type this command: powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

    2. in this case external mouse can wakeup the device. to disable it goto device manager and search this device under HID or Mouse and pointing
    3. double click and uncheck wakeup option under power management tab and restart device

*update: Also disable HID keyboard Device (001)

Another short way is to remove USB receiver
    or
put external mouse upside down before sleep, to prevent any mouse movement

I tried and it said my installed driver is already the best version.

m2's solution to disallow the device to wake up the computer seems to be what I am looking for. Thank you very much!
