Hello, I have an Acer Swift 3 SF314-52 with a fingerprint reader and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. It's the only hardware that seems to not be recognized or used by the OS. I believe it may be a driver problem. Does anyone have a link to said drivers?? I really like using the fingerprint reader, it's easier for me.

If anyone can help, thanks in advance

Just go into the Ubuntu forums and ask for fingerprint reader drives. I don't know if it will need to be compiled into the kernel or if you just need to install the driver package.

With Linux you need to wait for them to include it in the package. It typically takes a year or so before all the hardware is supported. Acer only provides Windows drivers unless they ship the machine with Linux installed.

Do you know by any chance which package would I need?? Beacause this computer is from 2018. It's safe to say it has been more than a year :D
