Acer Iconia B1 - Mobile Broadband

Does anyone know whether my Acer Iconia B1 will accept mobile broadband? If so, how does it work? I have an ordinary dongle from 3 Network but this, of course, is the wrong size.

Any suggestions please.

Unfortunately, there's not enough informatino provided to give you a compelte answer.

You need to provide a complete model.  "B1" is a series.

What is an "ordinary dongle" ?

Does it connect to your 3G/4G hotspot?

I'd bet an "ordinary dongle" is a standard size USB 3G or 4G wireless adapter. The issue is connecting that to the USB port on the B1.

Yes - I have a dongle from 3 Network to connect to a standard usb port on a laptop/netbook. Can I get an adaptor for this to fit the mini usb port (if so, what is it that I require)  on my Acer Iconia B1 - A71 and will it work if I do get one?

I am a complete technophobe so do not really know what it is that I require.

Someone has told me that dongles will not work on Android systems - is this right?

I have a new Acer Iconia A210 and a contract on a  3 dongle.  I know nothing about a B1 but I had to purchase a three mi fi which connects up to 5 devices wirelessly.  I am very pleased with the outcome as it connects seamlessly

There is no way to install drivers for the dongle, so no, that will not work connecting directly to an Android tablet.

You would need to use WiFi or a 3G/4G hotspot.
